EV Charger Installation in Granada Hills & Los Angeles
Zap Electric helps homeowners plan and install EV charging equipment in Granada Hills, the San Fernando Valley, and Greater Los Angeles. Start with your vehicle, charger requirements, and existing electrical setup.
Your electric utility and installation determine which program applies.
Up to $1,000
LADWP residential EV charger rebate
Active LADWP residential electric account holders may qualify toward purchase and installation of an eligible home charger. EZ-SAVE or Lifeline participants may receive an additional $500, for up to $1,500.
A qualifying dedicated EV time-of-use meter may receive a separate $250 rebate. Discuss metering costs and rate options with LADWP before deciding.
Charge Ready Home offers eligible SCE households up to $1,000 for a dedicated EV outlet where a panel of at least 200A can support Level 2 charging. Income, assistance-program or designated-community eligibility applies.
Need a panel upgrade? Explore the qualifying panel-and-outlet option on our panel upgrade page. SCE does not cover charger purchase or installation through this program.
For LADWP, arrange a service assessment before installation and confirm the charger qualifies. Retain purchase records, an itemized installation invoice and required permit documentation. Install the charger before applying.
LADWP generally requires applications within 12 months of charger purchase; installation-only and dedicated-meter claims have a six-month installation deadline. Reimbursement cannot exceed eligible net costs after other incentives.
Program details checked October 29, 2026. Utility approval, eligible costs, funding and current terms determine your rebate. Savings are not guaranteed. Check your electric bill to identify your utility.
